The League held its monthly committee meeting on 13 January and reviewed the latest information that the League requested from Clubs at the SGM held on 14 November.

At that meeting the League gave a deadline of 1st January for all officials associated with teams to have a photo ID. At  this point there were 1880 officials of which 856 did not have a photo ID. The latest position is available to view in the League documents section pof the website. It is appreciated by the League that some Clubs have taken this fully on board and now have 100% compliance or have made significant progress. However, there are still 543 officials without a photo ID and some Clubs have made no progress.

Clubs are reminded that this was brought in by the Committee from a safeguarding perspective and it is not something that is going to go away. The Committee had a vote in the meeting and it was agreed that Clubs have until Monday 20 January to have a minimum of 80% of their registered officials with a photo ID. Any Club that does not reach this minimum threshold by close of play on 20 January will be charged under Rule 6 (H) and the fine value will be £25.

If any Club has an official that they do not believe needs to have a photo ID then they need to email the League with the Officials name, role and FAN number and state the reason why they do not believe that a photo ID is necessary for that individual. So far the League has had 2 such requests. Send the details to this email address.

If Clubs persist not to address this issue then there is the possibility of another charge with the maximum fine of £50 and that Clubs membership with the League for Season 25/26 being reassessed.
